Carmela founder, Jessica Mortarotti, has been spending time in Palm Springs since early childhood, but it wasn’t until 2020 that she began living there part time. She started to notice a niche for her award-winning frozen confections. A self-proclaimed “Desert Fangirl,” she’s thrilled to bring her handcrafted ice creams and sorbets to the beautiful desert playground that has a commitment to decadence, sunshine, smiles and leisure.
